Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Sweden: Building Skills for a Brighter Future

Our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange brought together enthusiastic young people from Sweden, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Germany for an inspiring international experience in the heart of Sweden. Over several days, participants explored cultural diversity, strengthened friendships across borders, and gained valuable skills for their future careers.

The project focused on employability and career development, giving young people the chance to reflect on their ambitions and discover new opportunities. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on activities, participants learned how to identify their strengths, set career goals, and navigate the rapidly changing job market.

From CV and interview exercises to creative teamwork challenges, every activity encouraged confidence, curiosity, and personal growth. Alongside the educational program, participants also enjoyed cultural evenings, outdoor activities, and shared moments that made the exchange both meaningful and memorable.

This youth exchange empowered young people to build their future with new skills, new perspectives, and new friends from across Europe—capturing the true spirit of Erasmus+.

Reading Program at Nima, Accra

Bridging Families recently organized a transformative Reading Program in the heart of Nima, Accra, aimed at nurturing a love for learning among young girls in the community. The initiative brought together girls between the ages of 5 and 16, providing them with an engaging, supportive, and inspiring space to build their literacy skills.

To enrich the experience, the program welcomed dedicated volunteers from the University of Ghana, Legon, who spent time reading with the girls, guiding them through stories, and helping strengthen their comprehension and communication abilities. Their involvement created meaningful connections and offered the girls positive role models who encouraged curiosity, confidence, and academic growth.

The Reading Program forms part of Bridging Families’ ongoing commitment to educational empowerment. By fostering early literacy and providing consistent mentorship, the initiative helps open doors to brighter opportunities for girls in underserved communities.
